Effective Date: 01 April 2026
This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to payments made to Little Kingdom School, which is owned and operated by STAR EDUCATIONAL TRUST.
We aim to handle genuine payment errors, duplicate transactions and eligible refund requests fairly and transparently.
1. School Fees
School fees, admission-related charges and other payments are payable in accordance with the applicable School fee structure, admission terms and payment schedule.
Parents and guardians should verify the payment purpose, student details and amount before completing a transaction.
2. Admission / Registration / Application Fees
Where an application, registration, admission or similar fee is specifically identified as non-refundable in the applicable admission or fee terms, such fee will ordinarily not be refundable after the relevant application or admission process has been initiated.
However, this does not prevent refunds in circumstances such as:
- duplicate payment;
- excess payment;
- payment collected in error;
- transaction error attributable to the School; or
- any circumstance in which a refund is required under applicable law or applicable education-authority rules.
Any specific refund condition communicated in the relevant admission or fee schedule will also apply.
3. Tuition and Other School Fees
A student’s withdrawal from the School does not automatically result in a refund of every fee already paid.
Eligibility for refund or adjustment of tuition fees and other School charges will depend upon:
- the type of fee;
- the period to which the fee relates;
- the date of withdrawal or cancellation;
- services already provided;
- the School’s applicable notified fee rules; and
- applicable laws, regulations or education-authority requirements.
The School will not use this Policy to deny any refund that is mandatorily required under applicable law.
4. Duplicate Payments
If the same fee is successfully paid more than once for the same student and the School receives the duplicate amount, the excess payment will, after verification, be:
- refunded; or
- adjusted against another payable School fee with the parent/guardian’s agreement.
5. Excess or Incorrect Payments
If a payer accidentally pays more than the amount due, or makes a payment against an incorrect fee head, the School should be contacted promptly.
Following verification, the School may refund or appropriately adjust the excess amount.
6. Failed Transactions Where Money Is Debited
Sometimes a transaction may appear unsuccessful even though the payer’s bank account has been debited.
In many such cases, the bank or payment system automatically reverses the amount.
If the transaction is shown as failed and the School has not received the payment, the payer should contact the issuing bank or payment service provider regarding the reversal.
If the School has received the amount despite the transaction being incorrectly reflected, the School will reconcile the transaction and take appropriate action.
7. Pending Transactions
Where a transaction is marked as pending, parents or guardians should wait for the payment status to be confirmed or contact the School before attempting another payment.
This helps avoid duplicate transactions.
8. How to Request a Refund
A refund request may be submitted to:
Email: lks.amroha@gmail.com
Phone: +91 7302135050
Please provide:
- parent/guardian name;
- student name;
- class;
- phone number;
- payment date;
- amount;
- transaction ID / reference number;
- reason for requesting the refund; and
- any relevant supporting information.
The School may request additional information where reasonably necessary to verify the transaction.
9. Refund Approval
Receipt of a refund request does not automatically mean that a refund has been approved.
The School will verify:
- whether the amount was actually received;
- the reason for the request;
- the relevant fee category;
- applicable School policy; and
- any legal or regulatory requirement.
The requester will be informed of the outcome after reasonable verification.
10. Refund Method
Approved refunds for online transactions will ordinarily be processed through the original payment method or through another legally permissible method where necessary.
Cash refunds will not ordinarily be provided for online payments.
11. Refund Processing Time
Once a refund is approved, the School will normally initiate it within 7 working days.
After initiation, the time required for the amount to appear in the payer’s bank account or payment instrument may depend upon the bank, card network, UPI provider or payment gateway.
Parents should ordinarily allow approximately 5–10 working days after refund initiation for the credit to reflect before raising a follow-up request.
12. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Parents and guardians are requested to contact the School first regarding genuine duplicate, excess or incorrect payments so that the transaction can be investigated promptly.
Nothing in this Policy prevents a payer from exercising lawful rights available through their bank, payment provider or applicable dispute-resolution mechanism.
13. Cancellation of Educational Services
Requests relating to cancellation of admission, withdrawal of a student or discontinuation of School services should be submitted to the School administration in accordance with the School’s applicable withdrawal and admission rules.
Cancellation of admission or withdrawal and cancellation of an individual payment transaction are separate matters and may be subject to different conditions.
14. Changes to the Policy
The School may revise this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in School procedures, payment systems or applicable law.
The version available on this webpage at the relevant time will apply, subject to mandatory rights available under law.
